Cala Serena

Cala Serena lies along the coast of Caprera, in a stretch characterized by smaller and more secluded inlets compared to the island’s main beaches. The bay is framed by smooth granite rocks, between which a small arc of pale sand opens, creating an intimate and protected environment. Its modest size contributes to a stronger sense of tranquility than the broader beaches nearby.

The sea in front of the cove features predominantly sandy seabeds with rocky sections along the sides, displaying shades that range from emerald green to bright turquoise depending on light and depth. On calm days, the water appears especially transparent, with reflections that highlight the morphology of the seabed and the continuity of the submerged rocks.

Behind the shoreline, Mediterranean scrub develops naturally, with juniper, mastic shrubs and low bushes growing among the granite boulders. The setting remains largely unspoiled, with vegetation reaching almost to the sand and contributing to a harmonious, lightly developed landscape.
