Cala Sassari

Cala Sassari stretches along a broad sandy arc between Golfo Aranci and Punta Marana, overlooking a particularly open and scenic stretch of sea. The beach is composed of pale, fine sand, with a regular shoreline that gently follows the natural curve of the gulf. The horizon opens toward Capo Figari and, on the clearest days, the view extends across a wide expanse of sea linking the coastline to the island of Figarolo.

The sea in front of Cala Sassari is generally shallow in the first few meters from the shore, with shades ranging from light green to deep turquoise. In light wind conditions, small waves may animate the surface and add movement to the scenery, while during calm periods the water becomes exceptionally transparent, highlighting the sandy seabed.

Behind the beach, low dunes, Mediterranean vegetation and hospitality structures alternate, integrated into the landscape. Despite its size and popularity, Cala Sassari retains a sense of openness and space thanks to the generous dimensions of the bay and the presence of wide free areas.
