Baja Sardinia

Baja Sardinia overlooks one of the most open and panoramic bays of the Gulf of Arzachena, in a strategic position between Cannigione and Porto Cervo. The village is built around a large sandy inlet that faces directly toward the La Maddalena Archipelago, offering wide and luminous horizons throughout the year.

The main beach features pale sand and shallow seabeds that gently slope into the water, making the area particularly suitable for relaxing stops and long swims. The sea displays shades ranging from emerald green to deep turquoise, with clear waters reflecting the light and highlighting the sandy bottom. On both sides of the bay, granite rocks shaped by wind and sea create smaller, more sheltered coves.

Behind the beach, the village develops harmoniously, with low-rise buildings and open spaces that maintain a constant visual connection with the sea. The promenade along the bay offers ever-changing views toward the islands of Caprera and Spargi, which seem to float on the horizon on clear days.

Arriving at Baja Sardinia by boat allows you to fully appreciate its natural layout: from the sea, the breadth of the inlet and the contrast between pale sand and pinkish granite rocks become even more evident. During a boat excursion along this stretch of coastline, it can represent an ideal stop for a swim in calm waters before continuing toward Porto Cervo or the islands of the Archipelago. Its intermediate position between the Gulf of Arzachena and the Costa Smeralda makes it a natural passage point in many sea itineraries.
