Beach Rudargia

Rudargia Beach is a small sandy inlet nestled between residential buildings and Mediterranean vegetation on the edge of Porto Rotondo. The shoreline, short yet intimate, is made up of light-colored sand mixed with darker grains, interrupted by small rocks that emerge especially near the water’s edge. The sea, protected by the shape of the gulf, slopes gently and is often calm, with hues ranging from light green to deep blue.

Behind the beach, oleanders, junipers, and a few pine trees form a simple but pleasant setting, reflecting the close connection between the sea and everyday village life. Its proximity to houses and services makes Rudargia a local, everyday beach, mainly frequented by those staying nearby. Less exposed and quieter than the more famous beaches in the area, it is also easily reached during a short dinghy trip around Porto Rotondo. For this reason, at quieter times of day, the bay can offer a surprisingly peaceful atmosphere.

Seen from the sea, Rudargia appears as a short crescent of sand set between low walls, vegetation, and small piers. Passing by in a dinghy means observing Porto Rotondo’s seaside life from the outside: children playing in shallow water, scattered umbrellas, people strolling along the shoreline. It is a stop that tells the story of the coast’s most simple and everyday side, in contrast to the more dramatic scenery of nearby bays, and fits naturally into a short dinghy excursion among the beaches of the gulf.
