Punta Nuraghe

Punta Nuraghe lies on the eastern side of Porto Rotondo, just a short distance from the village center, yet already immersed in a quieter and more natural setting. It is a granite headland overlooking generally calm waters, protected by the natural shape of the gulf.

The coastline alternates between small sandy coves and smooth rocky stretches shaped by wind and sea. The seabeds, partly sandy and partly rocky, create shades ranging from pale green to deep turquoise, with the typical clarity of the area between Porto Rotondo and the Gulf of Cugnana. On clear days, the horizon opens southward, revealing the silhouettes of surrounding hills and bays.

Behind the headland, Mediterranean vegetation grows compact among the rocks, forming a delicate contrast between green shrubs and the pink-grey tones of granite. The atmosphere is intimate and orderly, in line with the understated elegance that characterizes Porto Rotondo.

Reaching Punta Nuraghe by dinghy allows you to appreciate its strategic position: from the sea, you can sense the gradual transition between the livelier harbor area and the more open coastal stretches toward Cugnana and the Costa Smeralda. It is an ideal stop to alternate peaceful swims in transparent waters with short panoramic cruises along the gulf.
